Log Still Distillery

Where Bourbon Began With a Log, a Fire, and Grit

📍 225 Dee Head Rd — New Haven, Kentucky

Long before tasting rooms, brands, or Bourbon Trails, there was a log, a flame, and stubborn intent. Log Still Distillery doesn’t recreate bourbon history—it continues it. Set among the rolling hills of Gethsemane, Kentucky, this is frontier whiskey ground, where bourbon was never polite and never rushed.

In 1836, Joseph Washington Dant hollowed out a log to distill whiskey for his family. No shortcuts. No gloss. Just grain, fire, wood, and time. Nearly two centuries later, that same defiant spirit fuels every fermenter, every barrel, every long wait inside the rickhouses.

Holding historic DSP-KY-47, the Dant family’s fingerprints remain on the operation—etched into the process, rolled across warehouse floors, and sealed into every bottle. This heritage isn’t borrowed. It’s inherited.

Bourbon With Bloodlines

The whiskey at Log Still reads like a family ledger—each release rooted in lineage, land, and patience.

🥃 Monk’s Road Collection

Named for the road traveled by monks and whiskey alike, these are classic Kentucky profiles built on balance and depth:

  • Straight Bourbon – caramel, toasted oak, baking spice

  • Wheated Bourbon – round, soft, sweet, and slow-burning

  • Kentucky Straight Rye – bold pepper, citrus, and dry oak snap

🥃 Fifth District Series

Limited releases honoring the historic Fifth Tax District once overseen by the Dant family. Rare barrels. Expressive proofs. Zero compromise. These aren’t repeats—they’re moments.

🥃 Beyond Bourbon (Still Barrel-Driven)

  • Monk’s Road Gins – dry, structured, and bourbon-minded, including barrel-finished expressions

  • Rattle & Snap Tennessee Whiskeys – 4-Year Select, 8-Year Straight, and long-aged southern whiskey with muscle and maturity

Every bottle is deliberate. Every release earns its age.
